Frequently Asked Questions
We receive many submissions, but only the strongest stories are turned into Majik Kids Audio Stories & Illustrated Books. Below are the criteria we will be looking for when we read your story submission:
1. Your story is magical, fun, adventurous and entertaining.
2. The story would make a great “movie for the ears” – with voice actors, music and sound effects.
3. There are multiple characters with dialogue in the story – to make the character voices more exciting and engaging.
4. The story offers a positive message, life lessons, values or thought-provoking philosophy for kids to learn and grow with.
5. The story could have hours of classroom or homeschool learning activities to go with it (games, crafts, art projects, guided adventures, conversation starters, etc.) to help kids integrate the lessons and themes from the story.
6. The story would be fun for kids AND grown-ups to read or listen to again and again!
At the time being, this package is applicable to stories under 3,200 words, or approximately 20 minutes. Ask us for a quote if you have a longer tale to tell.
As a company Majik Kids is committed to platforming Majik Artists, and are not looking to showcase AI generated content. We are a Fair Pay Publishing and licensing platform and a big part of that vision is ensuring Artists are paid fairly and work is not taken away from talented humans who are able to create all of the Majik Kids content we share with our audience.
We don’t accept AI generated art because we value the creativity and integrity of our Majik Artists and want to uphold the beauty of human generated stories, music & meditations.
The app costs CAD $12.99/month for a family to join. It includes stories, music & meditations (plus a parent/educator portal). Up to 50% of subscription revenue is put into an artist pool (after admin fees).
Your story will count as a ‘piece of content’ and you will earn a ‘content engagement’ point every time somebody listens to more than 50% of your track. The same points are rewarded for stories, meditations & music.
At the end of each quarter, ‘content points’ will be divided up amongst all artists (authors, illustrators, musicians, voice actors, meditation guides & producers) involved in all the content pieces (stories, music, meditations) and you will be paid your fair portion of the pie. Mmmmm pie!!!!
Majik Kids is partnered with incredible organizations like SoulShoppe.org, Playaway.com, SherwoodKids.com, MindValley.com, AuraHealth.io, StoryPhones.com and more licensing conversations are in motion that will help Majik Kids’ stories into the hearts, ears and imaginations of children & families world-wide!
Unlike most self-publishing companies, we get you into a network of established licensing partners straight out of the gate when you publish with Majik Kids.
Ownership is shared. We own the licensing rights to publish it through our distribution channels and our apps, and any assets for merch, TV or movie deals. But you get the file to sell independently (say as a $20 download) on your own platform as well.
You may also keep the book rights, if you decide to illustrate the book version of your story through your own channels or another publishing company.
We are building a marketing & sales team, rolling out a mombassador program and ultimately, are committed to doing what it takes to make Majik Kids a household name. Obviously, you spreading the word about this cool platform you’re a part of will help too. We’re all in this together!

Fair Pay Publishing
As the first ever Fair Pay Publishing company, we pay our artists up to 50% of the revenue we generate from book and app subscription sales, so our authors, illustrators, musicians, meditation guides, producers and voice actors can bring their magical gifts to the kids!!
